Denise K. Lajimodiere is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in Belcourt, North Dakota. She is an Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, and lives in Moorhead, MN. Her poetry manuscript, Dragonfly Dance, was recently a finalist in Autumn Press poetry contest. Her poems have appeared in Yellow Medicine Review, North Country, and Sporting Words.
